April 25th event cancelled

As we continue to hope for a return to the track soon....we have to announce this weekend (April 25) is cancelled. We will continue to update weekly... thank you for all the support as we wait. This was scheduled to be our opener for Micros, Dwarfs, 4bees, and the WSS 2020 debut event for Sunset. Currently Micros, Dwarfs, 4bees are set to return May 23/24. We are hoping that we can be on track by then. WSS still has 3 events on the schedule as well too, June 27, August 8, and September 12.

Update on season

We are starting to get messages again, and while we continue to hope that we can get on track soon. We are postponing season opener and events until further announced. I know how much every one is ready for a little bit of normalcy in our lives, and I hope that begins rather soon for us all.

We here at Sunset Speedway Park, are thankful for are amazing drivers, and their hardworking pit crews. We are Thankful for our hardworking fans. We are Thankful for our Track Staff and their loving families that allow them to spend their summers with us year after year. We are Thankful for all the memories we’ve spent over the years, and for the community of Banks that we call home. Have a Happy Thanksgiving to All.

Herz Precision Parts Micro 600 Showdown to run at...

Deming Speedway and Sunset Speedway have teamed up thank you to Herz Precision Parts to introduce the Micro 600 Showdown. This 5 race mini series will be ran over 2 weekends to offer a bonus points fund to chase this summer in the NW for Micro 600 Open teams. Wild West Modified Shootout 2021 dates announced

We are proud to announce the race locations for the 2021 version of the Wild West Modified Shootout. The series will run from August 6-August 14. The first 3 rounds (August 6-8) will all take place at Willamette Speedway in Lebanon, Oregon. The series will then head south to the Cottage Grove, Oregon for rounds 4 and 5 (August 9-10) at the Cottage Grove Speedway. I want to thank everyone in our racing and local community for their patience as we have planning a 2021 season. We know that we will be allowed fans but at this point, we do not know how many on opening night or in the future. We will inform as the season gets closer on process to attend events. the 2021 tentative schedule has been posted, with a printable version available on the rules/form page. May 8 Test n Tune canceled

Well was hoping for good news as I know many have reached out. We are currently in a holding pattern as our state unfortunately took a step backwards over the previous week. This weekends test n tune is canceled, and as we know more we will relay any information.

Schedule update for May 15 and May 22

Saturday May 15 Test n Tune canceled We will be having Test n Tunes still before we have a opening raceday. So our season opener on May 22nd will be replaced by a Test n Tune. We feel very confident currently about holding the Test n Tune on May 22nd.

May 22nd practice is a go!

PRACTICE IS ON!! Saturday May 22 1pm-dusk $30 pit pass. Grandstands closed. Memorial Day weekend races are canceled, we are hoping to practice that weekend as well, and will let you know based on interest.
