Speedweek Northwest Heads To The “Banks Bullring” On Thursday July 11th
By Ben Deatherage
Banks, Oregon- The fourth round of the 2019 Speedweek Northwest will see the farthest north the tour will travel when they inhabit Sunset Speedway Park on Thursday, July 11th. The ¼-mile clay oval is also the smallest venue apart of the six-race series and is the first time Winged Sprint Cars have journeyed to the facility this season.
Five times Speedweek Northwest has been to SSP intermittently since 2008 with three different winners. Roger Crockett has the most, with three, while Kyle Hirst and last year’s victor Steven Tiner have just one each. The 2012 race was rained out just as the feature was rolling out.
Thursday tickets are $16.00 for Adults and Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $13.00, Youths (6-12) $8.00, and Children (5 & Under) are FREE. A Family Pass (Two Adults and up to four Youths (6-12)) is offered for $55.00 while Premium Seats are available for $35.00 each. Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, with Racing kicking off at 6:00.
If you can only make a race or two don’t worry as we have you covered with live streaming lap to lap coverage courtesy of Dirt Oval TV. As in the previous four Speedweeks it will be once again sanctioned by the Western Sprint Tour.
