By Ben Deatherage
Banks, Oregon- While there may not have been any racing at Sunset Speedway Park last weekend it will definitely be made up this Friday, August 24th, and Saturday, the 25th. The race is run in tribute of the late Doug Walters who owned and operated the ¼-mile facility for several seasons. Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, and 4-Bee’s will be in action both nights.
Both nights the Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, with Racing kicking off at 6:30. Tickets are $13.00 for Adults and Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00. A Family Pass (Two Adults and up to four Youths) is offered for $35.00 while Premium Seats are available for $25.00 each. Tickets, apparel, and more can be purchased online at www.pnwdirtracing.com .
