SSP Ready For Sprints, Dwarfs (Micros have been added) On Thursday; Banks BBQ This Weekend

Banks, Oregon- Sunset Speedway Park will have a very busy week on tap. The ¼-mile facility has three events planned over the course of four nights. Only one of those evenings is reserved for racing around the “Banks Bullring” and that’ll be Thursday, August 16th.
Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, with Racing kicking off at 6:30. Tickets are $13.00 for Adults and Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00. A Family Pass (Two Adults and up to four Youths) is offered for $35.00 while Premium Seats are available for $25.00 each. Tickets, apparel, and more can be purchased online at www.pnwdirtracing.com . Thursday will have the cars and stars of the Interstate Sprint Car Series make their one and only appearance to SSP. This is the last time Winged Sprint Cars will be at Banks and they are expecting a strong car count. The series will be in the middle of their “Week Of Speed” and is the last Oregon race of the six races in six nights stint.
In addition to Sprint Cars the Dwarf Cars will be on tap. A huge car count is anticipated featuring entries from all across the western United States. Jake Tupper has three wins at Sunset this year while Shane Youngren has scored two victories. Jeremiah Hester, Josh Rodgers, and Ryan Martinez have all won once. Street Stocks will also be on the card during the night. Arnie Case has amassed an incredible twelve victories in the division while Donald Schott has bested the field just one time.
Micros Open & Restricted have been added and will run together.
