J. Johnson, Walters, Case, Zurita, Wolfe, And C. Jones Get SSP Fan Appreciation Night Wins

Banks, Oregon- Sunset Speedway Park would have full grandstands and a pit area on Saturday, June 16th, for the annual Fan Appreciation Night. The “Banks Bullring” would have an impressive six classes on the card. That included the Super Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, 4-Bees, and New Bees divisions.
Jason Johnson, of Gresham, would earn his first SSP Late Model win of 2018. Banks’ native Greg Walters collected his second IMCA Modified victory of the campaign. Arnie Case, of Vancouver, Washington, remains perfect in the Street Stock ranks as he picked up his sixth win in as many starts.
Tim Zurita acquired an impressive triumph in the Pure Stock division, his first of the year. William Wolfe also won his first race of the season in 4-Bees while Cutlass Jones got the job done in the New Bees, his second of the current campaign.
Sunset Speedway Park returns to racing on Saturday, June 23rd, for Highway Heavy Hauling Night. Five classes are on the card including the Pure Stocks, Dwarf Cars, 4-Bee’s, and both classes of Micro Sprints.
Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, Time Trials begin at 5:30, with Racing kicking off at 6:30. Tickets are $13.00 for Adults and Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00.
