Spring Challenge On Deck For SSP; Races Saturday And Sunday Nights

Banks, Oregon- Sunset Speedway Park will have not one, but two nights of racing on tap this weekend. The Spring Challenge will have a full card of action both Saturday, May 26th, and Sunday, the 27th, with IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, Dwarf Cars, 4-Bees, and both 600cc Micro Sprint divisions in action. The IMCA Modifieds will be racing for normal pay on Saturday and $1000.00 dollars to the victor on Sunday. The IMCA Modifieds have produced three different winners in as many races. Those include Aaron Elwess, Jimmy Schram, and Greg Walters. In the Street Stocks it has been all about Arnie Case winning all three features. Jeremiah Hester and Josh Rodgers have split the two Dwarf Car races in the current campaign.
Ryan Conroy has won the last three 4-Bee races at the “Banks Bullring” while Austin Henderson has just one victory to his credit. In the 600cc Micro Open Jeff Little and Evan Margeson have won one each while in the 600cc Micro Restricted Allison Johnson and Jo Jo Batalgia have split wins in that class.
Both nights the Pit Gates open at 1:00 PM, Front Gates 3:00, Time Trials begin at 4:30, with Racing kicking off at 6:30. Tickets are $13.00 for Adults and Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00.
