SSP Gearing Up For May 19th Armed Forces Night

Banks, Oregon- Sunset Speedway Park is ready for Armed Forces Night on Saturday, May 19th. The “Banks Bullring” will be offering a $5.00 special for all Military to get into the races. Classes racing include IMCA Modifieds, Pure Stocks, Dwarf Cars, 4-Bees, and New Bees.
Aaron Elwess and Jimmy Schram are the two drivers that have managed to emerge victorious in the IMCA Modified ranks this year. In Pure Stock competition, Tanner Krohling is the only winner thus far. Dwarf Cars have had just one race this season and Jeremiah Hester was the winner.
Ryan Conroy is the man to beat in the 4-Bee ranks as he has won the last two features. Austin Henderson is the only other winner so far. Cutlass Jones and Ryan Potter have split trips to victory lane in the New Bees in 2018 after two races.
Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, Time Trials begin at 5:30, with Racing kicking off at 6:30. Tickets are $13.00 for Adults and Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00. A Family Pass (Two Adults and up to four Youths) is offered for $35.00 while Premium Seats are available for $25.00 each. For more information log on to www.sunsetspeedwaypark.com.
