Banks, Oregon-After having the weather practically dampen everything in the month of April Sunset Speedway Park looks forward to Saturday, May 6th for the long awaited first race of the season. The first round of action will be Lime-A-Rita Ladies Night where all ladies eighteen years or older get into the races for just $5.00. Classes on the card include the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds, Pure Stocks, 4-Bee’s, and both classes of 600cc Micro Sprints.
“The weather hasn’t been the kindest to us this year,” commented Nikki Gamell, Manager of SSP, “we’re very excited to finally get some racing in. We also want to invite all those lovely ladies out there to come out and have some fun.”
Although no racing has been recorded in 2017 at the “Banks Bullring” it did manage to complete a practice date in late April. Both fans, drivers, and track personnel are chomping at the bit for racing to return to the ¼-mile clay oval. Be sure to make it out this Saturday night for some must see door to door action at SSP.
Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, Time Trials begin at 5:30, with Racing kicking off at 6:30. Tickets are $13.00 for Adults, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00, Youths (6-12) $5.00, and Children (5 and Under) are FREE. A Family Pass (Two Adults and up to four Youths) is offered for $35.00 while Premium Seats are available for $25.00 each. For more information log on to www.sunsetspeedwaypark.com.
