Banks, Oregon- Mother Nature won the race on May 14th, but another exciting night of racing is expected at Sunset Speedway this Saturday, May 21st. It will be Armed Forces Night, which means our normal Military discount of $10.00 has been reduced to just $5.00 for this weekend’s event. Classes in action include the PHRA Dwarfs, NW Dwarfs, IMCA Sport Modifieds, Pure Stocks and 4-Bees. This weekend is the 1st of a 4 race series for the River City Sunset 4 Bee Challenge. These 4 Bee drivers will be competing in a 4 race series between River City Speedway and Sunset Speedway for a $1000 points fund.
The local Dwarf Cars will be taking on the regulars of the Pacific Hardtop Racing Association (PHRA). It should make for a good car count as well as great racing. The NW Dwarf Cars have only had one race at Sunset this season on April 30th, the winner was #18 Shane Youngren.
The IMCA Sport Mods have completed 2 races this season, with #04 Michael Melton and #17 Chris Frisbie both taking their first wins making their way to the Finishline Graphics Victory Lane.
