The BUD LIGHT Lime-A-Rita Ladies Night, once again had an outstanding turnout in the stands. With the sun shining and a slight breeze, track conditions were perfect.
Saturday night racing provided the crowd with some great racing action. With Six classes on hand for the fastest ¼ mile track on the west coast. #36 John Campos would set fastest hot lap time 16.204 in his Budweiser IMCA Modified, IMCA Sport Mods quick hot lap time would go to the #04 of Michael Melton 16.389, Pure Stocks driver Adam Hopkes would Qualify with a fast time 17.212, Both Micro Sprints 600 open & restricted quick time went to Jesse Schlotfeldt (OPEN) 14.166 (RES) 14.669 and the driver of Tylor Owen in his 4-B clocked in at 17.466.
“A” Main events started out with the 4-B class 15 cars started the field, action packed from the moment the green came out. The #45 of Cody Jones (maverick) started 5th in the field but would have to battle it out with three others; Ferree, Owen, and Gumby. Jones would pull out to a great lead to take the win. The finishing order was, 1st #45 Maverick 2nd #24 Rob Ferree 3rd #38 Gumby Batlgia 4th #23 Tylor Owen 5th #8 William Wolfe 6th #7 Captain Turnabout 7th #19 Jason Gillman 8th#73 Ron Sweere 9th #74 Travis Zimmerly 10th #69 Austin Henderson 11th #36 Greg Davidson 12th #14 Ryan Conroy 13th #9 Robyn Ruth 14th #37 Kaylee (skittles) Batalgia 15th # Bill Blythe

IMCA Sport Mod 25 lap main event saw great racing, #10 Brad Ruth took the lead out of turn one from the second row. Ruth would be the man to beat until six laps to go when the rear end decided to let go with a fire ball from under the car. Red flag came out for the track safety crew to clean oil off the track. With six laps to go it was a shootout for the win. It would come down to who had the better line the #17 of Chris Frisbie or #04 of Michael Melton. Frisbie with a big drive off of turn 4 pulls away from the field to take the win. 1st #17 Chris Frisbie 2nd #04 Michael Melton 3rd #68 John Henry 4th #11x Scott Ruth 5th #Brad Ruth
The Pure Stock feature was one heck of a battle, the top three cars were nose to tail, most of the night #7 of Trevor LaBarge on point, second of #04 Joey Tardio and then #30 of Adam Hopkes. Ten laps to go in there 25 lap main caution would come out for the third place driver of Hopkes spinning out in turn 3. With the field bunch back up it was a drag race for both LaBarge and Tardio. Stroke of bad luck would happen to Tardio once again with a spin out of turn 2 having the right rear axle come out of the rear end. With now only 4 laps to go it was now Labarge and Hopkes, last lap Hopkes would try to dive under LaBarge spinning out giving the win to Trevor LaBarge. 1st #7 Trevor LaBarge 2nd #66 Kendall Lee 3rd #28 Jeremiah Peak 4th #30 Adam Hopkes 5th #11 Travis pitsch 6th #04 Joey Tardio 7th #Lonnie Jackson.
Budweiser IMCA Modifies main event was a great one, with only one caution Craig Cassell in the #25 started on the Pole next to the #21 of Mark Reser. As soon as the green flow, Cassell would pull out to the lead and never look back. With almost a half a track lead and a finish of 7.645 sec’s over the second place finisher Reser, Cassell would lead every lap to the checkered. Post interview Mark stated “going to Arizona to test in the new car definitely helped with the setup, and can’t wait for next week.
