Sunset Speedway Park Returns For Budweiser Modified Mayhem 100

Banks, Oregon- It has been some time since Sunset Speedway Park has last heard the roar of the engines. Last weekend was an off week due to Labor Day weekend while the week before was canceled due to weather. Saturday September 12th will be the first race since August 22nd at the “Banks Bullring” and it is sure to be a good one, so don't miss it as there are just two events left in 2015. The Budweiser IMCA Modified Mayhem 100 will have the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds headline the card. Also racing is the IMCA Sport Mods, Street Stocks, and both classes of Micro Sprints.
We want to let all of the IMCA drivers know that this race is NON-POINTS as per IMCA due to the IMCA Super Nationals in Boone, Iowa. Nonetheless it is sure to be a thriller of a race and weather is foretasted to be fantastic.
The Budweiser IMCA Modified Mayhem will be a one-hundred lap feature with $750.00 going to the winner. Mark Carrell still has the most victories in the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds with his three trips to victory lane. Rob Ireland, Jesse Williamson, Jeff Lovell, and Bubba Foster all have two triumphs while Doug Lockwood and Collen Winebarger each have one win.
Pam Graham has had an amazing season in the IMCA Sport Mods. She has won four times in the current campaign. Michael Melton and Jim Potter each have won two races.
Brian Roden has six wins in Street Stocks but still trails by twenty-seven markers for the championship. Arnie Chase has managed to visit victory lane three times and Tony Catalano has done so twice. Defending track champion John Ireland has just one win but he is the current points leader.
In seven Micro Open races there have been seven different winners. Jake Tupper, Dallas Melby, Jake Mann, Jeff Broadwell, Chance Crum, Tanner Holm, and Derek Torkelson consist of the list of winners so far. In the Restricted ranks Ashleigh Johnson has the most wins with her three victories. Colby Thornhill, Jesse Schlotfeldt, Ben Silliker, and Peyton Reed have all won once.
Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 4:00, and racing starts at 6:30 each night. Tickets are Adults $13.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-18) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
