Kyle Yeack Conquers Jim's 100; P. Graham, Martinez, A. Johnson, And Tupper Also Collect Wins

Sunset Speedway Park would host the annual Jim's Thriftway Open Street Stock National 100 on Saturday July 11th. It would be the biggest race of the whole 2015 season for the Street Stock division. In addition to Street Stocks there were also the IMCA Sport Mods, Northwest Dwarf Cars, and both classes of Micro Sprints.
Lebanon's Kyle Yeack would seize the lead on lap number six of one-hundred during the Street Stock main event. From there Yeack would be in the position for the rest of the distance in his Cascade Outdoor Power Equipment/Unlimited Business Service/Laura Gillott at Keller Williams Realty #47 Cutlass. Yeack would lap up to ninth place en route to his first career Jim's 100 victory.
The Perfection Automotive/21st Century Towing/Meyers Auto Body/Freeman Tile #12X FR1 of Vancouver, Washington's Pamela Graham was the car to beat in the IMCA Sport Mod feature. Graham would make the move for the front on lap two. She would hold the spot for the rest of the way to win her fourth race of 2015.
Ryan Martinez of Portland would take care of business in the Northwest Dwarf Car race. Martinez would blaze the trail for all twenty-five laps. It would be the first time since early June that the Auto Truck Wholesale/St. John's Tire Factory/Van Raden Industries #9 M&M had visited victory lane and his third win of the campaign.
Finally in the Micro Sprints the two classes that normally would run seperate were combined. Ashleigh Johnson from Ferndale, Washington yet again would have success at SSP. It would be the third win of the season for the Highline Performance/Brien Ford/Edaleen Dairy/Stephanie Edson Photography #0 D1 driven by the teenager that runs in the 600cc Restricted class. The highest finishing Open Micro was defending champion Jake Tupper, from Warren, in his Freight West Global/Fritts and Company/All Hazards Rescue/Northwest Innovation #29T PMP.
Saturday July 18th will be a really big night of racing at Sunset Speedway Park. It will be the 5th Annual Dancin Bare Topless Modified 100 that is $1,000.00 to win as well as the Riverside Industrial 30 for the Northwest Dwarf Cars which is $350.00 to win. Pure Stocks and the Late Model Lites will be in action as well.
Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 4:00, and racing starts at 6:30. Tickets for this event are Adults $13.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-18) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
