Ashleigh Johnson Excited For Micro Action At Banks

Banks, Oregon- Fans of Sunset Speedway Park will be glad to know that youngster Ashleigh Johnson all the way from Ferndale, Washington will back to the 1/4-mile clay oval to defend her 600cc Micro Restricted title. The fifteen year old will once again will be behind the wheel of the Highline Performance/Brien Ford/Edaleen Dairy/Stephanie Edson Photography/Hampton Auto Glass/Nymo Signs #0 D1.
“I'm really excited to get back to Banks,” said Johnson, “it's a track that I really like because of it's size.”
Last season Ashleigh won one main event, on September 13th, and finished inside the top five in all four starts. She has raced once this year at her hometrack of Deming Speedway where she finished third in main event competition. She currently is second in points at that venue in the 600cc Restricted points.
“My goal this year is to race all the events at Banks and to do the best I can while having fun.”
Other classes on the card for Saturday May 2nd is the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, and 4-Bee's. Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 4:00, and racing starts at 6:30.
Tickets for this event are Adults $13.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-18) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00. For more information log on to www.sunsetspeedwaypark.com.
