Jake Tupper Looks To Repeat Micro Sprint Title At SSP

Banks, Oregon- Young and rising star Jake Tupper of St. Helens will take on Sunset Speedway Park for the first time in 2015 on Saturday May 2nd. He returns to the “Banks Bullring” as the defending 600cc Micro Open champion. It will be the first race outdoors this year for the fifteen year old.
“I'm pretty excited,” said Tupper, “we ran three races at Salem during the winter but this will be my first race outside.”
Tupper will again pilot the Freight West Global/Fritts and Company/All Hazards Rescue/Northwest Innovation #29T PMP. In 2014 Jake may have not posted a win but he did manage to show a lot of consistency. In seven starts he finished in the top five four times including a season best second place on July 26th. It was the first championship for the teenager at Banks but added to his seven previous titles earlier in his career in Quarter Midgets.
“I'm really looking forward to racing back at Sunset.”
Other classes on the card for Saturday May 2nd is the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, and 4-Bee's. Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 4:00, and racing starts at 6:30.
Tickets for this event are Adults $13.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-18) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00. For more information log on to www.sunsetspeedwaypark.com.
