Banks, Oregon- The only driver so far at Sunset Speedway Park to have a perfect season in 2015 is Forest Grove's Chris Batalgia. In the first two races of the season he has won both main events for the 4-Bee classification.
“This year has been pretty good it's definitely going better than I expected,” commented Batalgia, “although I don't know if I would have gotten the win last week if Nathan (Owen) hadn't got a flat tire.”
The 4-Bee's this year has a large group of new competitors which is a great sign for the future of the division. But so far Batalgia and his Sweere's Trucking/Auto-Inter Automotive/O'Reilly's Auto Parts #38 Dodge Neon entry has been taking care of business. When asked about whether or not he's going to chase for the title this year.
“I've never really been a point racer but this year the way it's going we'll see how it goes.”
Be sure and make it out this Saturday May 2nd for Sunset Speedway Park's next installment. Will Batalgia's streak be put to an end? We shall see.
Other classes racing include the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, and both classes of Micro Sprints. Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 4:00, and racing starts at 6:30.
