Banks, Oregon- Sunset Speedway Park will be opening the 2015 campaign in a big way as the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds will invade the 1/4-mile clay oval Saturday April 18th. Not only will the “Banks Bullring” host the clay-shredding and ground shaking regular IMCA Modified chauffeurs but with $650.00 going to the main event winner is sure to attract some of the top shelf talent in the Pacific Northwest region being that its the only IMCA Modified event in a one-hundred mile radius of the Banks area. Be sure and don't miss out on this night of action packed excitement.
Last season SSP produced nine different winners in thirteen events. Eventual champion Doug Lockwood would score four victories to lead the win column while 2014 IMCA Oregon State Champion Craig Cassell would be the only other multi-race winner with his two triumphs. Seven other drivers managed to grace victory lane on just one occasion spreading the wins around to several other drivers.
In addition to the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds there will be Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, Dwarf Cars, and 4-Bee's in action. Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 4:00, and racing starts at 6:30.
