Iron Woman 50 Rescheduled For Saturday July 26th

Banks, Oregon- Fans of the Sunset Speedway Park Womens division will be happy to know that the Iron Woman 50 has been rescheduled for Saturday July 26th. This will be the biggest race of the year for the class as the ladies of the “Banks Bullring” will contest for fifty laps around the ¼-mile clay oval.
This Saturday June 7th will mark the 2014 debut of the classification. In the last four seasons there have been four different champions. Shawna Long was the champ in 2010, Laurelle Argue in 2011, Andrea Tardio in 2012, and most recently Freya Smith in 2013. Smith is now competing full-time in the Street Stock division which leaves the Womens title wide open.
Other classes in action include the IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, and 4-Bee's. Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 3:30, and racing starts at 6:00. Also for the June 7th event the $25.00 Car Load Special will be offered which gets a car load, truck load, RV load, etc. of fans into the races for only $25.00. Tickets for the event are Adults $12.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
