Dancin Bare Topless 100 Returns To SSP

Banks, Oregon- Sunset Speedway Park will be in action this Saturday July 20th for the annual Dancin’ Bare Topless 100. The one-hundred lap affair will be for the IMCA Modifieds and put driver and equipment to the ultimate test with the eventual winner receiving a $1,000.00 pay day. Also on the card will be the Northwest Extreme Sprints, 4-Bees, and Midgets.
The IMCA Modifieds in 2013 have yet to see a repeat winner. In six events there have been six different victors. That list includes Kenny Miller, Jeremy Martin, Doug Lockwood, Jesse Williamson, Rob Ireland, and last week’s winner Chris Hallberg. Last year’s event was a thriller with Mark Wauge and Robert Jenner battling in the final laps with Wauge securing the lead on lap ninety-four to hang on for the win.
The Northwest Extreme Sprints make their return to SSP. Mitch Hoffses has managed to score three victories while Jake Gilman won the most recent event which took place on June 15th. There has been only one Midget event so far this season and that was won by Pat Bliss.
In the 4-Bees Mike Mastrangelo still leads the division with most wins. Mastrangelo has won three times this year while John Oyler and Jason Blythe have earned two triumphs each. Travis Koch and Gary Meyer are the only one-time winners in the current campaign.
Front gates open up at 3:30 PM with racing scheduled to start at 6:00 PM. Admission is Adults $13.00, Seniors/Military $10.00, Children (6-12) $5.00, Children (5 and Under) FREE, and Family Pack (Two Adults and Two Children) $30.00.
The Dancin Bare is a gentleman’s club located in the city of Portland at 8440 N Interstate Avenue. The facility features three large televisions, three stages, and features all of the popular lottery games. At Dancin Bear there is no dress code nor is there a cover charge.
The Sunset Speedway Park is located just west of the Portland metro area in Banks on the Sunset Highway. From April until October you can get your racing fix at this facility which competes weekly primarily on Saturday nights. Regular classes in action include the NW Extreme Winged Sprint Cars, IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, 4-Bee’s, NW Extreme Modifieds, and the Womens division.
