SSP Cancels Sunday Race Due To Weather

Banks, Oregon- The Sunday 26th event that was supposed to be the debut of the 300-Lap Iron Man Enduro Series has been cancelled due to weather. The rain fall over night saturated the grounds and prevented any action from being conducted. The next race for the series will be on Sunday June 16th.
Next on tap for the Banks bullring will be action on Saturday June 1st with the Northwest Extreme Late Model Series, Northwest Extreme Modifieds, Street Stocks, and the Women’s division all on hand. Front gates open up at 3:30 PM with racing scheduled to start at 6:00 PM. Admission is Adults $13.00, Seniors/Military $10.00, Children (6-12) $5.00, Children (5 and Under) FREE, and Family Pack (Two Adults and Two Children) $30.00.
The Sunset Speedway Park is located just west of the Portland metro area in Banks on the Sunset Highway. From April until October you can get your racing fix at this facility which competes weekly primarily on Saturday nights. Regular classes in action include the NW Extreme Winged Sprint Cars, IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, 4-Bee’s, NW Extreme Modifieds, and the Womens division.
