SSP Cancels Practice; Race On Saturday Still A Go

Banks, Oregon- Sunset Speedway Park has decided to cancel the Friday April 19th practice date due to inclement weather. The race on Saturday the 20th is still on and will bring in the new racing season. A practice is scheduled to take place on Sunday afternoon on the 21st from 1:00-5:00 PM.
For Saturday the front gates will open up at 3:30 with racing scheduled to start at 6:00. Admission is the following prices: Adults $13.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-18) $10.00, Youths (6-12) $5.00, Youths (5 and Under) FREE, and Family Pack $30.00.
The Sunset Speedway Park is located just west of the Portland metro area in Banks on the Sunset Highway. From April until October you can get your racing fix at this facility which competes weekly primarily on Saturday nights. Regular classes in action include the NW Extreme Winged Sprint Cars, IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, 4-Bee’s, NW Extreme Modifieds, and the Womens division.
